This is not just the straight forward story of Joan. The author gives an analysis of it as he goes along, and uses known provable facts ( or the lack of them ) to show that some of what other author's have written about her is erroneous opinion at best and pure fiction ( sometimes malicious ) at worst, What is interesting is that this book was first published in 1909, and this same wrong information is being passed along by later authors. He is fairly even handed, and also uses examples of other people to show that what happened to Joan was typical of the times. Lot's of notes at the back of the book. A must read for any serious Joan fan.Product details
